Welcome to brianalcorn.com! As I embark on a new adventure in publishing written articles on the internet for consumption and critique, I thought I’d start out with a quick introduction.

My name is Brian. I hail from southwest Ohio, not far from Cincinnati. Along with being a husband, father, son and brother, for the past couple decades, I’ve been working in IT infrastructure. I specialize in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Puppet, and Ansible. 

Perhaps you’re wondering what kind of content to expect on brianalcorn.com. Since my intent here is to build a published CV of written works for reference in freelance writing opportunities, I anticipate quite a bit of tech content, but also other life perspectives and maybe special interest articles.

You won’t find sports or politics on brianalcorn.com. I’m only a passive sports fan, so will leave that content to others better suited for it. Politically, I do have my views, but I don’t subscribe to the confrontational political discourse our country has become accustomed to. I have friends all across the political spectrum, and care more about those relationships than engaging in a flame war.
